Barry & Wild smash 7th wicket record partnership
On Saturday at EE Gunn Reserve, Ormond’s Brendan Barry and James Wild set a new 7th wicket partnership of 183*, breaking the previous 7th
wicket record partnership of 177 set by Adam Dale & Greg Hobba (Bundoora Old Paradians now Plenty Valley) made in season 2007/2008.
Ormond chasing Oakleigh’s imposing total of 299 were in trouble at 6/119 before Wild & Barry came together and guided their side to a
brilliant victory finishing the day at 6/302.
At stumps James Wild remained 135 no (16 x 4’s & 2 x 6’s) and Brendan Barry 87 no.
